To effectively manage the full debtors function in the transport and logistics industry. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate invoicing, timely collections, account reconciliations, and proactive credit control, all while maintaining strong relationships with customers and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-volume debtor environments and a strong understanding of industry-specific challenges. REQUIREMENTS: Grade 12 / Matric (relevant financial qualification advantageous) Minimum 35 years experience in a debtors/accounts receivable role Previous experience in the transport or logistics industry preferred Strong knowledge of invoicing, reconciliations, credit vetting, and collections Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., Pastel, Xero, Sage) Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organisational skills RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage the full debtors function including invoicing, statements, and collections Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies timeously Monitor customer credit limits, perform credit checks, and manage risk Follow up on outstanding debt via phone, email, and formal correspondence Liaise with internal departments (operations, sales, dispatch) to resolve queries Maintain accurate records of communications, payments, and disputes Prepare monthly age analysis reports and assist with cash flow forecasting Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and credit policies Escalate problematic accounts and recommend legal or recovery actions if needed KEY COMPETENCIES: High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills Ability to manage high volumes and work under pressure Proactive and self-motivated with a client-centric approach Industry awareness and understanding of logistics/transport billing cycles TO APPLY: If your background matches the requirements and you would like to apply, please: Click on the “Apply” button or
