Job Summary
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Business.
- 5+ years of experience in master data management, data governance, or enterprise data roles.
- Expertise in MDM tools such as Informatica, SAP MDG, Profisee, or Oracle DRM.
- Strong understanding of master data domains and lifecycle (customer, product, vendor, finance).
- Proficient in SQL, Excel, and data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and operational databases.
- Hands-on experience with data integration tools, ETL processes, APIs, and data modeling.
- Solid knowledge of data governance frameworks and regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, POPIA).
Skills required:
- Experience with cloud-based MDM solutions.
- Project management experience, preferably in Agile environments.
- High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams.
- Customer-focused approach to delivering data solutions.
Job purpose:
- Develop and maintain master data management strategies, policies, and standards aligned with business objectives.
- Lead the implementation and administration of MDM tools (e.g., Informatica MDM, SAP MDG, Profisee).
- Govern the full lifecycle of master data including creation, maintenance, and retirement.
- Collaborate with data stewards, business units, and IT to ensure data quality, consistency, and compliance across systems.
- Define and enforce data governance frameworks and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, POPIA).
- Oversee data integration, ETL processes, and API-based data flows between operational and analytical systems.
- Support ERP and operational systems through effective data management and troubleshooting.
- Drive data quality initiatives including profiling, cleansing, validation, and reporting.
- Manage stakeholder relationships and lead cross-functional teams to deliver MDM projects on time.
- Analyze data trends and present insights to improve data-driven decision-making.
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, data stewardship, and service excellence.
