Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate technical drawings and designs, collaborating with engineers, and supporting the production team to deliver high-quality industrial equipment. Experience in manufacturing processes and a proactive approach to design improvement is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce detailed technical drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Design and develop sheet metal components and assemblies.
- Collaborate with engineers and product designers to bring concepts to life.
- Review, revise, and optimize designs based on project requirements.
- Maintain drawing files and associated documentation.
- Ensure all drawings comply with industry and company standards.
- Support prototype development and transition to production.
- Provide the manufacturing team with technical drawings and support.
- Participate in regular design reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Interpret technical specifications and incorporate feedback effectively.

Requirements:
- Relevant drafting or mechanical design qualification.
- 5 – 7 years’ experience in a similar role, with a focus on sheet metal.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Sound knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing industry standards and drafting practices.
Remuneration:
Negotiable salary based on experience (R30, 000 – R35,000 per month)
