Job Summary
Production Operations and Control
- Achieve production targets through optimal resource utilization and application of skills.
- Ensure operational effectiveness, efficiency, and product quality to meet production schedules.
- Complete, process, and update all production records and documentation accurately.
Maintenance Operations and Control
- Raise job cards for maintenance work and ensure work permits are in place.
- Oversee that equipment and work areas are safe, maintained by operators, and comply with housekeeping standards.
Compliance and Safety
- Operate within controls and procedures to maintain operational integrity.
- Strictly adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation, ensuring minimal risks and incidents.
Customer Service
- Identify and resolve problems creatively, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
- Demonstrate integrity and align solutions with company values.
Staff Supervision and Development
- Collaborate with HR to identify performance objectives, developmental areas, and action plans for staff.
- Address employee relations matters promptly and fairly.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications:
- Minimum: Matric (Grade 12)
- Required: L2 Plastic Federation Injection Moulding Certification
- Advantageous: Computer Literacy (MS Office Suite and job-specific software systems)
Experience:
- Minimum: 3 years of experience in injection moulding (knowledge of tool changing and fault-finding on injection moulding processes)
- Minimum: 3 years of experience working shifts
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of plant production and maintenance practices, processes, and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of plastic injection moulding, troubleshooting, and problem-solving.
Behavioral Skills:
- Proactive with strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and handle conflict situations effectively.
Additional Information
Work Environment: The role may require occasional shifts, depending on production schedules and operational needs.
