About the Role
Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Used Car Manager to oversee the daily operations of the used car department in our Newcastle dealership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales performance, managing inventory, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Management: Oversee and manage the daily operations of the used car department, including a team of sales executives, appraisers, and administrative staff.
- Sales Performance: Drive sales performance by setting clear objectives, developing sales strategies, and ensuring the team meets or exceeds sales targets.
- Inventory Management: Manage the acquisition, pricing, and presentation of used vehicles to maintain optimal stock levels and ensure a high turnover rate.
- Customer Service: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by delivering an exceptional buying experience, handling customer inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly.
- Financial Accountability: Monitor and manage the department’s budget, profitability, and financial performance, including pricing strategies and cost control.
- Market Analysis: Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to make informed decisions on inventory and pricing.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all vehicles and sales processes comply with BMW standards, as well as legal and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Used Car Manager
Proven track record of success in the used car market
Strong knowledge of the automotive industry
Excellent leadership and management skills
Strong sales and negotiation skills
Ability to analyse market trends and set pricing strategies
Excellent customer service skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and automotive software
Valid driver’s license
Qualifications
No formal education or certifications required.
