Requirements & Duties
- Managing existing client relationships, should build the relationship with the client that is friendly as well as professional. Improve service levels
- Developing existing clients, gather information such as current projects, future projects and any key purchases.
- Fixing margins on quoted items – responsible for fixing margins on outgoing quotes to clients
- Sourcing products, responsible for ensuring the quoted items are sourced correctly
- Negotiating with suppliers, sourcing the goods is to ensure that Storm Procurement is getting the “best deal”.
- Setting up suppliers – all options from current suppliers have been exhausted the new suppliers will need to be approved on Storm Procurement’s Supplier Database
- Processing orders, ensure that the order is being placed with the correct supplier ensuring best profit, lead time and product has been sourced.
- Obtaining freight quotes, responsibility to work with freight forwarders to ensure that the client’s requirements are met, and best possible method of travel, cost and lead times are considered
- Meeting targets – targets will be set and adjusted throughout the year and are expected to be met
- Dealing with queries and issues, will be expected to deal with these in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Client portfolio, complete client portfolio within SAS with detailed information on the client, contacts, background, exploration, projects and potential
- Good communication skills
- An excellent telephone manner for ongoing communication with customers and business associates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills – needed for communicating with a wide range of people, both internally and externally
- Good IT skills
- A professional manner and presentable appearance for meeting customers/clients
- Initiative and good decision-making skills
- The ability to motivate yourself and set your own goals
