About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking an experienced SHERQ Manager to drive compliance and safety excellence in a leading food manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be a passionate leader with a strong focus on Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality (SHERQ).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with SHERQ legislation and standards (ISO 45001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000)
- Manage legal appointees (e.g., 16.2s, SHE Reps, First Aiders)
- Lead investigations on incidents and ensure effective close-outs
- Own the full IOD (Injury on Duty) process and drive reduction in LTIFR/TRIR
- Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments
- Develop and execute training, toolbox talks, and safety campaigns
- Compile and present monthly SHERQ statistics and reports to management
- Oversee contractor HSE compliance and certification readiness
Requirements
- A Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or similar
- Minimum 5 years SHERQ management experience in the food manufacturing sector
- Knowledge of FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001
- Strong incident investigation, auditing, and safety training capabilities
- Familiarity with NEMA; certifications like NEBOSH or IOSH preferred
