Our client, a reputable and well-established company based in Bloemfontein, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Financial Manager. This is a key role for an experienced and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a solid background in finance and team collaboration.

Minimum requirements:

• Registered AGA(SA)

• Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience in:

  • Management

  • Financial statements

  • Tax

  • Payroll

• Proficient in Pastel, Sage VIP and Excel

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)

• Able to perform under pressure and manage deadlines effectively

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Financial Manager and provide full support, including acting in their absence

• Implement and maintain effective financial controls to reduce risk and improve productivity

• Continuously analyse current financial systems and suggest improvements for efficiency

• Uphold the highest level of confidentiality at all times

• Promote strong teamwork and maintain excellent relationships with staff and clients to support shared goals

• Take responsibility for the following areas:

  • Payroll administration (contracts, pay runs, SDL, EMP201/501, Employment Equity, reconciliations, etc.)

  • Creditors

  • Processing financial transactions

  • Preparation of financial statements

  • Tax compliance (VAT, Income Tax, Dividend Tax)

• Assist with ad-hoc client-focused projects and other reasonable financial tasks as needed
