Tax AccountantKnysna, WCR 20 000 – R 30 000 (depending on experience)An established accounting and tax firm in Knysna is looking for an experienced Tax Accountant to join their dynamic and professional team.The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing individual tax returns, managing client queries, staying up to date with SARS compliance and legislation, and supporting directors with various tax matters.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years solid tax experience, particularly in individual income tax and provisional taxIn-depth knowledge of SARS systems, legislation, and tax processesExperience preparing tax directives and dealing with SARS verification and queriesExcellent analytical and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamHigh level of discretion and attention to detailExperience using GreatSoft is an advantage but not essentialDutiesPrepare and submit individual income tax returns and resolve related queriesHandle SARS verifications, tax directives, and AIT/non-residence applicationsLiaise with SARS on behalf of clients and follow up on outstanding issuesConduct tax research and maintain updated knowledge of legislation changesMaintain accurate records and ensure all tax documentation is properly filedAssist directors and team with tax-related queries and ad hoc matters.
