Purpose of the Role Reporting to the Field Service Manager, the technician performs tasks in the electrical and mechanical field including Maintenance, Servicing, Component change out, Repairs, Rebuilds and Troubleshooting on Earthmoving Equipment Facilitates efficient technical, engineering and after-sales service to customers Diagnoses, overhauls, repairs, tunes, maintains and service diesel powered Earthmoving equipment and machinery in the field as well as in the workshop Prepares and submits detailed field reports Maintain professional customer relationships Adheres to company policies and procedures Detects electrical and mechanical faults by using specialized tooling and equipment Repairs and maintains electrical, hydraulic and mechanical components and systems of diesel-powered equipment including attachments. Follows work assignments received in the form of general oral or written work instructions Determines the extent of the needed repair and determines the nature thereof and implement Perform checks and services on a regular basis and detects possible faults and flaws on affected equipment Repairs and/or replaces and fit new sections or new parts. Improvises necessary solutions as and when needed. Travels from one site to another often in remote areas and at unusual work hours or sleep over as required Works with specialized equipment to perform daily duty requirement. Maintains a good level of physical health and fitness Always maintains a legal vehicle drivers license Adheres to all health and safety legislation Product Support Function Qualifications and Experience Required : Trade Tested Earthmoving Mechanic or Auto Electrician or Diesel Mechanic is required Experience working on dozers, trucks and excavators is essential MS Office Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Engine software interface experience Valid drivers license 4-5 Years experience in Auto Electrical on Earthmoving Equipment is required 4 -5 Years mechanical experience on earth moving equipment is required Must have worked as a Field Service Technician Maintaining punctual and high-quality paperwork / reports Analytical and problem solver Safety and Security – Observes safety and security procedures Time management

Field service technician required for a mining division. We need a trade tested auto electrician or earth moving technician. Candidate should be experienced on earth moving equipment doing fault finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting.
