1.Financial Reporting & Record Keeping -Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements). -Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards. -Conduct reconciliations of accounts, including bank, creditors, and debtors. 2. Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting -Ensure compliance with SARS (South African Revenue Service) tax regulations. -Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF, and income tax returns. -Assist in the preparation of annual tax filings and audits. 3. Budgeting & Financial Planning -Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting. -Monitor financial performance and report on variances. -Provide financial insights to support decision-making. 4. Payroll & Expense Management -Process payroll and ensure compliance with labour laws. -Handle employee expense claims and ensure proper documentation. -Manage accounts payable and receivable. 5. Audit & Internal Controls -Assist in external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation. -Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls. -Identify and mitigate financial risks. 6. Financial Advisory & Strategy -Provide financial recommendations to management. -Optimize financial processes for efficiency and cost-saving. -Assist in investment and funding decisions. Minimum Requirements: -Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. -Experience: 3 – 5 years of accounting -Certifications: SAICA, SAIPA, CIMA, or ACCA certification (advantageous). -Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, Pastel, QuickBooks). -Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and SARS tax laws.
