Wine Lounge Tutor

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Wine Lounge Tutor to join a luxury wine estate in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional tutored wine experiences, ensuring guests enjoy a memorable and educational visit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up the wine tasting area for service

• Present tutored wine tastings and lead cellar tours

• Ensure the presentation, quality, and temperature of all drinks are correct

• Process wine orders through Capreo, Cape Ardor, and Aspiring Logistics systems

• Maintain sufficient stock and equipment; restock as required

• Minimise loss through breakage, waste, theft, or incorrect orders, and record any losses

• Enforce strict tasting and portion control

• Conduct daily stock-takes and complete stock movement sheets

• Promote and process wine sales

• Adhere to the provisions of the Liquor Act (No. 59 of 2003) and other relevant regulations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 qualification

• Own or reliable transport

• Preferably 12 years experience as a wine tutor

• In-depth knowledge of wines and ability to communicate effectively with guests

• Passionate about wine and the hospitality industry

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail

• Comfortable interacting with distinguished clientele

• Well-presented, flexible, and able to work under pressure

• Enthusiastic and professional personality
