Together with the Sous Chef, you will manage staffs performance and conduct, contribute to the planning of food menu offerings including costings, estimate food consumption & requisition or purchase food, ensure kitchen stations are prepped, stocked and run efficiently during service and monitor and maintain the guest experience by ensuring that every one of our guests receives personalised attention and experiences every time.</span></p><p style="text-align:start"><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">Aside from this, you will lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring the smooth operation of the pastry kitchen and maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation across all kitchen areas. You will oversee inventory, ordering supplies, and managing the pastry departments budget efficiently. You will provide mentorship, guidance, and training for all kitchen staff to foster their growth.</span></p><p style="text-align:start"><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">Acting as second-in-command in the absence of the Sous Chef, you will also ensure all food handling and cleanliness procedures comply with health and safety regulations and uphold our reputation for exceptional food through consistency, presentation, and creativity.</span></p><p style="text-align:start"><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">You have a </span><strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">Matric Certificate</span></strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);"> and a </span><strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">Culinary Diploma </span></strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">with </span><strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">2-3 years experience</span></strong><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);"> in a similar role in a busy, up-market establishment with the ability to work various shifts.</span></p><p style="text-align:start"><span style="color:rgb(86, 87, 92);">You will bring your strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure smooth teamwork.
