• Provide subject matter expertise and oversight in the validation of machine learning and statistical models.
• Lead independent validations across multiple business areas, ensuring regulatory and governance standards are met.
• Design and implement challenger models using advanced machine learning methods.
• Mentor and guide analysts, supporting their skills development and professional growth.
• Collaborate with model developers and stakeholders, presenting findings and providing effective challenge.
• Enhance model validation methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• Honors degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science (Master’s preferred).
• 6+ years in model development within Data Science, with direct validation/review experience advantageous.
• Advanced knowledge of statistical and ML techniques (tree-based methods, neural networks, clustering, anomaly detection, etc.).
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and emerging technologies such as large language models.
• Proven ability to design and deliver end-to-end ML projects with minimal supervision.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience presenting findings at senior levels.
• Track record of mentoring junior analysts and supporting skills development.
