Eastern Cape: HSE Administrator posted by Staff Solutions

The Administrator is responsible for performing the following duties, with a focus on identifying and documenting non-compliances, hazards, and risks:

• Review and record findings from:
  • HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) inspection reports
  • First aid box inspections
  • Fire safety equipment checks, including fire extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, and sprinkler systems
  • All plant and equipment inspections
• Schedule training sessions and ensure that all appointed personnel remain competent, with up-to-date certifications
• Confirm that only trained and certified staff are appointed to relevant roles
• Maintain and update all administrative systems to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Ensure all service providers’ HSE files are current and include valid insurance documents and competency certifications
• Verify the full complement of cleaning and security staff, and report staffing levels accordingly
• Take minutes during monthly HSE and security meetings
• Monitor ongoing projects and follow up on related systems and actions
• File all records systematically and maintain an accessible filing system
• Perform general administrative tasks, including answering and screening calls and emails on behalf of the manager, as needed

Requirements:

• Matric  
• Qualification in HSE will be advantageous 
• Min 3-5 years’ experience in HSE 
• Code 8 license
