Job Description
The ideal candidate must have strong administrative skills and experience with Pastel and MS Excel as well as be a fast learner. The candidate must have strong written and verbal skills and be proficient with handling emails and multitasking.
The candidate will need to demonstrate the ability to work proactively and be able to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced office environment. The candidate must be able to work well under pressure and have strong knowledge of processing of orders and invoicing for the mining industry. The candidate must also have knowledge of working with couriers.
Responsibilities:
- Customer Liason
- Customer quotations
- Switchboard duties
- Invoicing and courier deliveries and collections at the mines
- Processing of all purchase orders for new and repairs items from receipt to delivery
- Be able to do imports and exports
- Full stock control
- Follow ups for all outstanding orders / PODs
- Other ad hoc administrative tasks as required
- To ensure that all processes and procedures in terms of key tasks and responsibilities are carried out efficiently.
- Maintaining a system for organizing company documents and day to day admin/documents.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years experience in an administration position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with Pastel for invoicing purposes.
- Intermediate Excel Skills.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively.
- A can-do attitude.
- An ability to work to deadlines.
- To be honest, discreet, and trustworthy.
- A professional manner and a strong ethical code.
- Ability to multitask and remain self-motivated and positive.
- Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
