Our client, a market leader, is currently seeking to appoint a Regional Sales Representative, based in Johannesburg.

Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Microbiology or Food Science (preferred).

• Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in industrial hygiene chemicals or related products within the food and beverage industry.

• Strong understanding of food processing, dairy, and beverage manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of food safety principles and regulations such as HACCP and ISO 22000 (advantageous).

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

• Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills.

• Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.

• Willingness and ability to travel frequently within the designated sales region.

• Valid drivers license and own reliable vehicle.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and secure new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry research.

• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.

• Understand client requirements and offer tailored product solutions from the industrial hygiene chemical portfolio.

• Conduct effective product demonstrations and presentations for both prospective and existing clients.

• Negotiate contracts and close sales deals to meet and exceed sales targets.

• Offer technical support and advice to clients on product applications and best food safety practices.

• Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and relevant regulatory changes in the hygiene and food safety sector.

• Compile and submit accurate and timely sales reports and forecasts.
