• Assemble electronic PCBs into mechanical housings following work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Perform mechanical integration including fastening, torquing, and alignment of subassemblies.
• Apply ESD-safe handling practices and comply with cleanroom protocols.
• Use hand tools, torque tools, and microscopes to ensure accurate assembly.
• Record assembly steps and traceability information in production logs.
• Conduct in-process inspections and report defects or anomalies.
• Collaborate with engineering on build issues and improvement suggestions.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Assist with training of new assemblers as needed.

Qualifications

• Matric Certificate or equivalent.
• Technical certificate, or a Diploma in Electronics or Mechanical Assembly is preferred

Knowledge of:

• PCB and mechanical assembly practices.
• ESD handling and cleanroom protocols.
• Reading mechanical and electrical assembly drawings.

Non-Negotiables

• High attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Familiarity with torque specifications and fastener handling.
• Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality requirements.
