• Grade 12
• Proven technical aptitude
• Driver’s license 
• Basic knowledge of mechanical / electrical maintenance
• Organisational & supervisory skills
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office)
• Technical post matric qualification will be to your advantage
• Own accommodation and transport in Swellendam or surrounding area.

 
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
 
Health and safety:

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, actively promote a safe working environment, and report or address any safety risks or incidents promptly.

 
Hostels and buildings:

• General repairs
• Gas installation/ maintenance
• Manage cleaning teams
• Garden maintenance

 
Workshop:

• General maintenance
• Auto electrical work
• Services
• Stock control

 
Irrigation maintenance of:

• Pump houses
• Main lines
• Installations
• Boreholes
