Johannesburg: Data Migration Strategist

Required Skills & Experience: 8 years of experience in data migration roles, with at least 35 years in a strategic or leadership capacity. Proven track record of leading end-to-end data migrations involving BSS platforms (e.g., Amdocs, Netcracker, Ericsson, CSG). Deep understanding of BSS data domains: customer, billing, usage, mediation, charging, CRM, and order management. Strong experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, SSIS, Ab Initio) and data migration frameworks . Solid understanding of data quality, data cleansing, master data management, and reconciliation best practices. Familiarity with data modeling, database technologies (Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL), and scripting (SQL, Python preferred). Strong project management, stakeholder engagement, and risk management capabilities. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage third-party vendors or system integrators. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in telecoms or digital service provider environments. Familiarity with TM Forum standards (SID, eTOM) and data migration methodologies (e.g., BSS/OSS Transformation). Experience with cloud-based migration (e.g., migrating on-premise BSS to cloud-native platforms). Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) in the context of data migration. Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP). Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
