Job Description
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
- Grade 12.
- Experience 2 years of experience in maintenance or a similar field. Experience with specific equipment or machinery relevant to the industry may be required.
- Good interpersonal relationships. Honesty and trustworthy.
- Ability to handle pressure.
- Electrical Skills – Understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and troubleshooting.
- Strength and Stamina – Ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in physically demanding environments.
- Adaptability to different working arears and conditions.
- Must be willing to work shifts.
- No current or previous criminal records.
- Must have own accommodation and transport.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Keep the facility running smoothly by addressing problems as soon as they are identified, before they have a chance to worsen.
- Identify possible unforeseen circumstances and plan alternative action in advance.
- Ensure mechanical equipment is in working order and fixed as necessary.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations and take appropriate.
- Proper use of equipment and chemicals and company policies and procedures
- Use correct working methods according to ISO and HACCP standards.
- Attending relevant Safety Representative and Committee meetings if required to do so.
