Reporting to: Operations
Type: Contractor
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the direct implementation of SHE Plan.
- Ensure that the requirements of the SHE Plan are communicated and understood by personnel and contractors on site and enforced.
- Ensure that documentation are submitted and of good quality.
- Conduct inspections and audits and follow up on corrective and preventative actions.
- Conduct EHS Risk Assessments and evaluate the Method Statements before the final Approval.
- Investigate and report EHS incidents and ensure close out.
- Prepare and conduct EHS awareness training and presentation.
- Miscellaneous activities: Support construction and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of the processes.
- Monitor EHS performance.
- Develop SOP and EHS Procedures
- Assisting EHS Manager
- Provide EHS professional advice to the construction team.
- Network with other contractors and industries on EHS practices to establish a benchmark.
- The purpose of the role is to assist on all health and Safety matters on project(s).
- Assisting and advising the construction team and contractors on Health and Safety matters.
- Coordinating of contractor Health and Safety officers and report to the EHS Manager.
- Reduce/ Prevent injury and Illness to all employees on site.
- Ensure LTIFR is maintained below required target.
- Ensure proactive Safety Management on the Project.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in construction industry medium to large projects.
- Prior experience in control and instrumentation type projects and ideally in the power plant industry.
Requirements:
- Must have experience in dealing with contracts and ideally NEC
- The candidate should have the following qualifications:
- 7 Years Experience
- SAMTRAC / Equivalent
- SACPCMP Registered (CHSO)
- Incident Investigation
- Hira
- Legal Liability
