About the Role

As a Software Engineer at Staff Solutions, you will be responsible for designing motor control centres (MCCs) and working with PLC software systems, specifically Siemens. You will also be involved in setting up complex PLC hardware configurations, interfaces to various devices, and providing project planning, installation, and commissioning support for installations. Additionally, you will be required to perform mechanical, pneumatic, and paint-related services on paint and sealing robots, build strong business relationships with customers, and ensure site safety during projects and service work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design motor control centres (MCCs)
  • Work with PLC software systems (Siemens)
  • Set up complex PLC hardware configurations
  • Set up interfaces to various devices
  • Provide project planning, installation, and commissioning support for installations
  • Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and paint-related services on paint and sealing robots
  • Build good business relationships with customers
  • Implement site safety during projects and service work
  • Attend site meetings and project meetings
  • Provide technical assistance during production support time (breakdowns)
  • Verify and compile data records of all test readings
  • Meet project deadlines

Requirements

  • Minimum National Diploma Electrical / B.Eng. Mechatronics
  • 2 – 5 Years’ experience in Automation Mechanical, Electronics, and Electrical Troubleshooting
  • Strong understanding of Electrical Processes
  • Ability to work shifts, weekends, and overtime
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good presentational skills
  • Quality Focus & Team player
  • Driver’s License and own transport essential
