• BCom Accounting or equivalent Finance degree
• Completed or currently completing SAICA / SAIPA articles
• CIPA or CICA certified (advantageous)
• Strong SARS experience – VAT, PAYE (EMP201), EMP501, Income Tax submissions
• Advanced experience in financial systems such as Pastel / Sage, OMNI and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date books
• Process creditors and debtors, including reconciliations and age analysis
• Prepare and process monthly journals, general ledger, and cashbook transactions
• Prepare and submit VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, and Income Tax returns via SARS E-Filing, and manage and attend to all related audits, required submissions and communications to and with SARS
• Conduct bank reconciliations and manage petty cash
• Assist in compiling monthly management accounts and financial reports
• Provide support to auditors and senior accountants during year-end processes
• General financial and administrative support within the finance team
