Job Description

Our client has an opportunity available for a Technical Manager based in Pretoria.

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualification.
  • 5 to 10 years Technical Facilities or Properties Management experience.
  • Experience in producing reports, stats and proposals for clients.
  • Budgeting and cost control experience.
  • Familiarity with Building Management systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical fittings and fixtures and the maintenance and repair thereof.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan preventative maintenance.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on building plants and equipment.
  • Inspect building facilities to identify building maintenance needs.
  • Conduct inspections of on-site contractors and procedures, ensuring they provide services per industry standards.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings with the technical team to ensure effective work is being done.
  • Establish and maintain a good working relationship with management and staff.
  • Attend to any breakdown timeously to ensure there is little to no impact to the clients operations.
  • Ensure no business impact to clients because of maintenance activities.
  • Ensure all jobs are carried out in a safe and competent manner.
  • Ensure adherence to all environmental, health and safety regulations.
