Kempton Park: Head of Supply Chain and Procurement

Our client, a market-leading organisation within the feed additives and biosecurity industry, is seeking an accomplished Head of Supply Chain and Procurement to lead and optimise their end-to-end supply chain function. The successful candidate will develop and implement strategic procurement frameworks, strengthen supplier networks, and drive operational excellence across purchasing, warehousing, and logistics. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute robust procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s commercial and operational goals. Lead and mentor teams across procurement, warehousing, and dispatch to ensure seamless execution and delivery. Manage supplier selection, evaluation, and negotiation processes to ensure quality, value, and long-term partnerships. Oversee end-to-end logistics, distribution, and warehouse management for timely, cost-effective delivery. Implement data-driven decision-making through performance metrics, KPI tracking, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure compliance with procurement legislation, ethical standards, and sustainability practices. Collaborate closely with finance, operations, and sales to align supply chain performance with business objectives. Drive cost optimisation, risk management, and innovation throughout the supply chain. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or diploma (minimum 3-year qualification) in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field – non-negotiable . Minimum 10 years’ experience in supply chain management with a strong focus on procurement. CIPS Level 6 qualification advantageous. Proven record of leadership in strategic sourcing, supplier management, and operational efficiency. Based within driving distance of Chloorkop, Midrand. Valid driver’s licence and passport, with willingness to travel internationally. Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Experience using ERP or supply chain software systems.
