Job Title: Code 08 Driver

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily pick-ups and deliveries of parcels following schedules and routes.
• Handle parcels with care and deliver in good condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain required signatures.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical issues.
• Keep vehicle clean and in good working order.
• Navigate efficiently using GPS or route maps.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers.
• Adhere strictly to traffic laws, road safety, and company protocols.
• Represent the company professionally in client interactions.
• Report any delays, incidents, or vehicle issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Valid Code 08 Driver’s License
• 1-2 years driving experience
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and complete delivery documentation accurately
• Physically fit to lift and carry parcels (up to 25kg)
• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
• Good knowledge of local routes and road conditions
• Strong time management and communication skills
