• BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification.
• Professional Registration with SACQSP (PrQS).
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a Senior or Commercial Management role.
• Proven track record in high-end residential, commercial, or specialist construction projects in South Africa.
• Strong knowledge of JBCC and related contractual frameworks.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Advanced Excel, MS Projects, and CCS proficiency.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and develop junior QS staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all pre- and post-contract commercial functions across multiple projects.
• Prepare, review, and manage cost plans, budgets, and cash flows.
• Manage Bills of Quantities, tender documentation, and procurement processes.
• Review and negotiate contracts, subcontracts, and consultant agreements (JBCC, PROCSA, bespoke forms).
• Administer variations, claims, payment certificates, and final accounts.
• Oversee project risk, insurances, guarantees, and compliance with statutory requirements.
• Provide commercial leadership to site teams and junior QS staff.
• Maintain cost reporting and advise directors on project financial performance.
• Engage with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery.
