Pretoria: Alcatel-Lucent Certified System Expert for Voice

Location: Onsite Pretoria, South Africa Contract Duration: 12 Months Project Kick-off: November 2025 Travel: Yes, within Gauteng Purpose: To provide expert-level design, deployment, and support of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) voice solutions, including OmniPCX Enterprise Communication Server and related switching technologies. This role ensures high-quality voice services across enterprise environments, integrating voice with data and unified communications platforms. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement ALE voice infrastructure including PBX, VoIP, SIP, and IP telephony systems. Configure and manage OmniPCX Enterprise and related ALE voice platforms. Integrate voice systems with data networks and unified communications tools. Perform diagnostics, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of voice services. Ensure voice network security, redundancy, and compliance with ALE standards. Provide technical documentation, training, and support to internal teams. Collaborate with OEM and third-party vendors for escalations and enhancements. Travel to client sites as needed (Pretoria and surrounding areas) Requirements: Valid Alcatel-Lucent Certification Voice certification 5 years of hands-on experience in designing and deploying enterprise voice infrastructure, including PBX, VoIP, SIP, and IP telephony systems. Proven expertise with Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise (ALE) platforms, especially OmniPCX Enterprise, with strong configuration and management skills. Solid understanding of network integration, including voice/data convergence and unified communications tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Cisco Webex). Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics skills for voice services, with a track record of resolving latency, jitter, and call quality issues. Experience implementing voice network security protocols, redundancy strategies, and compliance with ALE standards and best practices. Strong documentation and training capabilities, including the ability to produce technical manuals and deliver internal workshops or support sessions. Vendor management experience, including escalation handling and collaboration with OEMs and third-party providers for system enhancements. Willingness to travel to client sites across Pretoria and surrounding regions as required. Please note : A valid drivers license and reliable vehicle are essential for client site visits.
