• Lead and supervise a team of technicians, providing mentorship and technical support
• Utilize specialized diagnostic tools and software to identify and address electrical and mechanical issues effectively
• Serve as a technical resource for the team, providing guidance and assistance on challenging repairs and diagnostics

Diagnostics and Repairs

• Perform advanced diagnostics and repair on vehicles, including electrical and mechanical systems such as wiring, sensors, and modules, while ensuring the highest level of workmanship and adherence to company performance standards
• Conduct complex repairs and maintenance services on premium and luxury performance vehicles
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, utilizing problem-solving skills and advanced diagnostic techniques

Maintenance and Service

• Oversee and perform routine maintenance services on vehicles, including comprehensive inspections, fluid replacements, and scheduled maintenance tasks
• Ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and recommend appropriate service intervals to maintain optimal vehicle performance and reliability

Parts and Component Installation

• Lead the accurate identification and installation of specific parts and components, ensuring proper fitment and functionality
• Collaborate with the Parts Advisor to ensure accurate parts procurement, availability, and timely delivery
• Utilize technical manuals, diagrams, and electronic resources to ensure correct installation and compliance with quality standards

Quality Assurance and Documentation

• Conduct thorough quality checks on completed repairs and services to ensure the highest level of workmanship and compliance with high quality standards
• Document all services, repairs, and diagnostic findings accurately and comprehensively, using software and reporting tools
• Maintain organized and detailed records of completed work, including descriptions, parts used, labour hours, and test results

Training and Development

• Stay updated on the latest technical information and advancements in electrical and mechanical systems, service bulletins, and repair procedures
• Attend and participate in advanced training sessions, workshops, and seminars offered to enhance knowledge and skills
• Share expertise and knowledge with fellow technicians, providing mentorship and support to enhance the technical competence of the team

Health and Safety

• Maintain company EHSQ policy and procedure and improve safety culture

• All other job-related duties, as assigned 

Skills / Competencies Required:

• Proficiency in using manufacturer-specific diagnostic tools, equipment, and software
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and support a team of technicians effectively
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality workmanship
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers

Academic Qualifications:

• Qualified Trade and Master Technician certification

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician, preferably with a focus on high-performance vehicles
• Extensive experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on luxury vehicles and significant experience working on premium and luxury vehicles
• Advanced knowledge of premium and luxury vehicles systems, including electrical, mechanical, and technical components
• Willing to work a 2-year contract with the option of renewal
