Hire Resolve’s Client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team based in the North West. 

Responsibilities:

• Analyse the current health and safety systems and related processes.
• Contribute to the development of the health and safety strategy of the Company.
• Review the existing health and safety procedures to assist
• Develop and maintain productive and/or conducive relationships with stakeholders.
• Measure the risk behaviour of people, coach, and train to achieve a sustainable safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulatory requirements.
• Participate in the health and safety events management and planning.
• Ensure that Company processes are well–defined, understood, and executed.
• Continuously improve business and safety processes and systems.
• Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Ensure that management decisions and health and safety incidents/accidents are communicated and understood.

Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Safety Management or related studies.
• Comsoc 1 and 2
• Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseer Certificate of Competency (Advantageous)
• Management Development Programme (MDP)(Advantageous)
• Masters in Business Administration or Leadership (MBA/L)(Advantageous)
• in-depth knowledge of ISO Standards implementation, Matrix, and requirements.
• Experience in best incident investigation techniques.
• 5+ years experience in a similar role in the mining industry.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant mine and health safety legislation.
