Job Description
Our Client in the FMCG Industry is seeking to employ a Procurement Superintendent to their team based in Humansdorp.
Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Procurement, Supply Chain Management (preferred).
- Minimum 3 years experience in procurement or planning, ideally in FMCG or manufacturing.
- Experience with contract management and evaluating supplier performance.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g. Business Central), Business Intelligence tools, QlikSense.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, graphs) and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of the CHEP pallet system (advantageous).
- Valid drivers license (Code 8).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable, proactive, and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Oversee and manage purchase orders, supplier performance, and contracts/agreements.
- Ensure full compliance with PPE processes and health & safety regulations.
- Maintain and update PPE master data across systems (HR, PPE platforms, Business Central).
- Manage departmental records for attendance, training, and health & safety compliance.
- Handle disputes and manage documentation for forced pallet movements.
- Place and manage daily pallet orders, track returns and credits, and reconcile invoices with stock.
- Ensure timely procurement and availability of goods (especially PPE and CHEP pallets) to support operations.
