Pietermaritzburg: Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our PMB based client. In this hands-on role, you will ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of flexible packaging machinery, minimizing downtime and supporting production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on packaging machinery. Monitor equipment performance and identify potential issues before they escalate. Collaborate with the production team to ensure machines operate efficiently and safely. Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on machine performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes. Requirements: Relevant technical qualification or trade certification (mechanical/electrical/electromechanical). Previous experience in maintenance within the packaging or manufacturing industry. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Knowledge of safety standards and adherence to workplace safety protocols. Flexible and willing to work shifts if required.
