A mining operation located in Hotazel, Northern Cape is seeking a proactive and driven Junior Operations Manager to join their on-site team. The ideal candidate will assist the senior management team with day-to-day operational functions, contribute to optimizing mining processes, and ensure the smooth running of site activities. Responsibilities:

• Support the Operations Manager in the planning and execution of mining operations
• Monitor production targets, safety standards, and operational procedures
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Liaise with cross-functional teams including maintenance, engineering, and logistics
• Assist in the preparation of operational reports, shift handovers, and production data
• Identify areas for operational improvement and cost-efficiency
• Participate in workforce management, shift planning, and coordination
• Monitor equipment usage and availability on site

Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field
• 24 years experience in a mining or heavy industrial environment (preferably site-based)
• Strong knowledge of mining processes, production, and safety protocols
• Valid drivers license
