Job Description
- Design, develop, and review application scorecards, including reject inference models.
- Lead feature engineering initiatives to boost model performance and business impact.
- Partner with business stakeholders to align scoring strategy with commercial objectives.
- Mentor and upskill junior analysts and data scientists, building a strong internal capability.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior and executive stakeholders.
- Continuously improve scoring methodologies with advanced techniques.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education: BSc/BComm in Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, or BEng.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years’ hands-on experience in application scoring, scorecard development, reject inference, and model validation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAS (non-negotiable); Paragon Modeler experience advantageous.
- Industry Exposure: Multi-industry experience a plus (retail, telecoms, fintech, insurance).
- Ability to work with limited data, build robust models, and deliver actionable outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills and proven ability to engage senior stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership/mentorship ability.
