Job Description
Key Requirements:
- Diploma in Accounting, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 3 years’ payroll processing experience
- Sage 300 (Sage VIP People) certification essential
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
- Sound knowledge of labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, and PAYE/SARS)
- Strong numeracy, communication, and time management skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing across the business
- Apply for tax directives and handle statutory submissions (PAYE, UIF, SDL)
- Prepare IRP5/EMP501 reconciliations and complete year-end submissions via EasyFile
- Handle garnishees, maintenance orders, and payroll-related employee queries
- Administer medical aid, provident, and funeral funds
- Capture and maintain employee data for engagements, terminations, transfers, and promotions
- Reconcile third-party payments (medical aid, provident, MIBCO etc.)
- Ensure accurate and timely statutory returns and payments
