Johannesburg: Product Risk Manager

My client is currently seeking a Product Risk Team Lead to join their Johannesburg office. Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of daily and monthly P&L and position reports, with clear attribution and commentary for senior stakeholders. Oversee CTRM system integrity, support enhancements, and coordinate the resolution of technical issues. Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 3 to 5 Risk Analysts, fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture. Drive continuous improvement and participate in strategic projects across commodity desks and global offices. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Relevant NQF Level 7 qualification in Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. CA(SA) advantageous; and CFA/FRM a plus. Experience: Minimum 5 years experience in risk management, product risk, or middle office roles. At least 3 years leadership or team management experience. Prior experience in a trading or financial services environment preferred. Skills: Advanced MS Excel and Power BI skills. Experience with CTRM systems highly beneficial. Strong analytical thinking, communication, and organisational skills. Ability to lead under pressure, manage complex data, and drive operational excellence. Other Requirements: Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Strong sense of accountability and ownership. Excellent English communication skills written and verbal.
