Head Chef / Sous Chef Luxury Safari Lodge, North West

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef or Sous Chef to join a luxury safari lodge in the North West. This role is ideal for a culinary professional with a passion for creating exceptional dining experiences in a high-end hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the kitchen team, ensuring efficient operations and high-quality food preparation.

• Plan, prepare, and present menus in line with lodge standards and guest expectations.

• Maintain consistent quality, presentation, and portion control for all dishes served.

• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and hygiene standards within the kitchen.

• Manage kitchen inventory, stock control, and supplier relationships.

• Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.

• Collaborate with lodge management to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

• Innovate and develop new menu items that reflect the lodges luxury positioning and seasonal availability.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a luxury lodge, hotel, or high-end restaurant.

• Strong leadership, organisational, and team management skills.

• Exceptional culinary skills with attention to detail and presentation.

• Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen best practices.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.

• Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Salary: R12,000 R28,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
