Pretoria: Electronic Technician

Were looking for an experienced Electronic Technician with strong fine soldering skills to join our clients dynamic technical team in Pretoria . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic systems , particularly in fine soldering, assembly, and maintenance . In this role, youll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of advanced electronic and communication systems used in challenging mining environments . Education: National Diploma or N6 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering , Mechatronics , or a related field. Job Experience & Skills Required: Proven experience with fine soldering . Strong understanding of RF communication , CAN bus , and IoT-based data transmission . Skilled in fault finding , wiring , calibration , and maintenance of electronic control systems. Knowledge of microcontrollers , sensors , and power systems (UPS, solar, and inverters). Ability to interpret electrical schematics , perform on-site installations , and support field commissioning . Experience with firmware updates , device configuration , and data integration is advantageous. Strong commitment to safety , quality , and system reliability in demanding mining environments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on RF and sensor-based systems. Assist in integrating telemetry data with server platforms for reporting and analysis. Support field testing and continuous improvement of hardware and software interfaces. Collaborate closely with engineers and field teams to ensure system uptime and compliance with mine standards.
