Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, analysis, and execution of civil and structural engineering projects related to industrial facilities, plants, and infrastructure.
- Prepare drawings, calculations, and technical reports in compliance with project specifications and international standards.
- Support project teams in reviewing contractor work, ensuring quality control, and adherence to safety and environmental requirements.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor project progress and structural integrity.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, and process) to integrate civil works within overall project designs.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes such as SANS, BS, or ASME as applicable.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 2–5 years of experience in industrial construction or engineering environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar design tools.
- Familiarity with structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS) advantageous.
- Strong communication and report writing skills.
- ECSA registration or candidate registration preferred.
