Durban North: Financial Manager (FTC 6 months) posted by Network Finance

Based in the vibrant heart of Durban North, this global BPO leader is known for delivering exceptional service solutions across continents. This role isn’t about auditing from the sidelines, it’s about owning the financial playbook: managing cash flow, driving business insights and partnering with global teams to ensure financial excellence across borders.
It’s a 6-month FTC, perfect for someone ready to make an immediate impact and prove that short-term roles can deliver long-term results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial planning
• Produce monthly management accounts and deliver insightful commentary
• Monitor income, expenses, risks and opportunities to drive business performance
• Champion strong internal controls, process improvements and compliance across financial operations
• Lead cost centre reporting through Xero, ensuring accurate revenue and cost allocations
• Oversee ledgers, invoicing, VAT returns, reconciliations and ensure financial accuracy
• Manage cross-border transactions and liaise with the SARB for compliance
• Collaborate with global finance teams on inter-company invoicing and reporting

Job Experience and Skills Required:

• BCom degree OR a Newly Qualified CA(SA)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial management role (not just audit)
• Proven exposure to the services industry (not product-based)
• Strong people management experience
• Available on short notice for a 6-month fixed-term contract
• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, models and magic formulas welcome!)
• Xero (non-negotiable)
• Strong financial reporting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent commercial acumen with the courage to challenge trends and drive improvement
• Confident communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, global environment
