Were looking for an experienced Electronic Technician with strong fine soldering skills to join our clients dynamic technical team in Pretoria . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electronic systems , particularly in fine soldering, assembly, and maintenance . In this role, youll be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of advanced electronic and communication systems used in challenging mining environments . Education: National Diploma or N6 in Electrical / Electronic Engineering , Mechatronics , or a related field. Job Experience & Skills Required: Proven experience with fine soldering . Strong understanding of RF communication , CAN bus , and IoT-based data transmission . Skilled in fault finding , wiring , calibration , and maintenance of electronic control systems. Knowledge of microcontrollers , sensors , and power systems (UPS, solar, and inverters). Ability to interpret electrical schematics , perform on-site installations , and support field commissioning . Experience with firmware updates , device configuration , and data integration is advantageous. Strong commitment to safety , quality , and system reliability in demanding mining environments. Key Responsibilities: Conduct diagnostics and troubleshooting on RF and sensor-based systems. Assist with integrating telemetry data with server platforms for reporting and analysis.
