About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and meticulous individual to join our team as a Tax Administrator in Sandton, Gauteng. As a key member of our tax compliance and administration team, you will be responsible for managing daily tax compliance and administrative tasks for a diverse client base. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop specialized skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle the preparation and submission of various returns, including:
- Small Company tax returns (ITR14), including nil returns.
- Individual income tax returns (ITR12) for salary earners.
- Nil Provisional returns (ITR12).
- Trust returns (ITR12T) a significant part of the role.
- Process Nil IRP6’s.
- Serve as the contact point for correspondence with SARS and clients regarding registrations and general queries.
- Process VAT, Income Tax, and PAYE registrations and de-registrations.
- Complete EMP501 reconciliations and apply for Tax Clearance Pins.
- Handle SARS queries via online platforms, Zoom/Teams, and onsite visits.
- Be willing to learn from Senior Tax Consultants and assist them with day-to-day tax administration.
Requirements
- Experience: Must have at least one year of experience in a tax environment (Crucial requirement).
- Skills & Attributes: Must be target and deadline driven.
- Education (Advantageous): Studying a Tax related degree.
- Software (Advantageous): Experience in Greatsoft, E-Filing, EasyFile, and Excel is beneficial.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: R13,000.00 – R20,000.00 CTC per month (Depending on experience and academic achievements).
