Job Title: Mechanical Fitter

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on production and packaging equipment

• Conduct inspections to ensure machinery efficiency and minimize downtime

• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and carry out necessary repairs

• Assist in machine changeovers, setups, and improvements

• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records

• Adhere to health, safety, and quality standards

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the maintenance department

Requirements:

• Recognised Trade Test as Mechanical Fitter

• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience in a fast-paced FMCG/manufacturing environment

• Strong mechanical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

• Experience with conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and packaging machinery

• Knowledge of preventive and reactive maintenance practices

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical manuals

• Basic understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics

• Willingness to work shifts, standby, and overtime when required

• Excellent teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
