De Aar: Cost & Management Accountant

An industry leader is seeking a Cost & Management Accountant to take ownership of financial analysis, cost management, and project costing across large-scale operations. If you hold a BCom Honours (with CIMA as a strong advantage) and have 6 years experience , including at least 3 years in costing , this role is built for you. Youll: Manage project costing and cost analysis across multiple industrial projects. Monitor and control budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Prepare detailed management accounts and variance reports. Provide cost breakdowns, margin analysis, and financial modelling for strategic decisions. Identify inefficiencies and propose cost optimisation opportunities. Collaborate with operational, site, and project managers to align financial goals. Maintain integrity across financial systems and reporting structures. Support the implementation of improved costing methodologies and controls. 🎓 Your Professional Foundation: BCom Honours in Accounting or Finance (essential). CIMA qualification (beneficial). 6 years experience , with at least 3 years in costing or project-based accounting . Strong background in cost control, financial analysis, and project reporting . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and Excel modelling skills. Experience within a hardcore industrial or construction environment.
