Company and Job Description:
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join the Finance Control Team of a fast-paced, multinational franchise business. This role is key in managing the end-to-end receivables process, ensuring accurate billing, timely collections, and strict compliance with financial standards across a rapidly expanding African network.
 
You’ll work closely with franchisees, internal departments, and the wider finance team to deliver high-quality financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and monitor receivables across 16+ African countries
• Oversee collections and ensure timely follow-ups in line with internal credit policies
• Ensure adherence to the Allowance for Doubtful Accounts (AFDA) policy
• Reconcile major income streams, including:

• Royalties, licensing, and franchise fees (initial, renewal, and transfer)
• Advertising and supply chain contributions
• Franchise trade recoveries and third-party agreements

• Investigate and resolve account queries while maintaining professional relationships with franchisees and internal teams
• Support the monthly and quarterly close and financial reporting processes
• Identify and implement improvements in billing, automation, and internal controls

Job Experience and Skills Required:
2 – 4 years’ experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance Operations, or Reconciliations
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Exposure to international or multi-market environments is advantageous
Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience with JD Edwards or other ERP systems preferred
