Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Office and Accounts Manager to oversee the daily operations of a busy professional services environment. This pivotal role involves managing a small admin team, ensuring smooth office functionality, and taking ownership of accounting and compliance processes. Key Responsibilities: You will be responsible for supervising the Office Administrator, Receptionist, Tender Administrators, and Accounting Trainees, while coordinating everything from front-office operations and facilities to statutory compliance and HR admin. Key duties will include overseeing tender submissions, handling accounts payable and receivable, tracking budgets, managing WIP and invoicing, and supporting financial reporting. Sales and Marketing: Conduct thorough research to identify potential markets, customer segments, and emerging trends to explore untapped opportunities for business expansion. Analyse market trends and historical data to make accurate sales projections and revenue forecasts. Monitor sales performance against targets and take proactive measures to ensure continuous growth. Job Experience and Skills Required: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have at least 7 years’ experience in office management or accounting, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Proven leadership and team supervision experience. Solid accounting knowledge, including invoicing, reporting, and budget tracking. Excellent multitasking, organisation, and communication skills. Experience in a SME/audit firm would be advantageous. The role will also involve 60% sales and marketing focus. Apply now!

Job Title: Office Manager MID587 Industry: Food Science / Distillery / Beverage Production Location: Sandton, Johannesburg Salary: Market-related / Negotiable based on experience Reports To: Managing Director / Operations Manager Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive Office Manager to oversee daily administrative and operational functions within a dynamic food science and beverage production environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating office activities, supporting management and production teams, and ensuring smooth business operations across all departments, including finance, HR, compliance, and procurement. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a good understanding of operations within the food or beverage manufacturing industry . Key Responsibilities: Administration & Office Management Manage daily office operations and ensure an efficient, well-organized working environment. Oversee office supplies, equipment maintenance, and facility management. Handle correspondence, document control, and general administrative support to management and staff. Maintain and update filing systems (digital and manual). Finance & Procurement Support Assist with supplier and customer documentation, purchase orders, and invoicing. Liaise with accounting or finance departments for reconciliations, petty cash, and expense tracking. Support stock and materials management in collaboration with production and procurement teams. Human Resources & Compliance Coordinate staff attendance, leave records, and HR documentation. Assist with onboarding new employees and maintaining training records. Ensure compliance with Food Safety (FSSC/ISO/HACCP) and Health & Safety documentation. Liaise with regulatory bodies and assist in audit preparation. Operations Coordination Support management in scheduling meetings, production planning, and departmental coordination. Track and communicate project deadlines, maintenance schedules, and key deliverables. Work closely with production, logistics, and quality teams to maintain workflow efficiency. Communication & Reporting Serve as the point of contact between management, staff, and external stakeholders. Prepare reports, meeting minutes, and communication summaries for internal and external distribution. Support management with presentations, document formatting, and administrative tasks. Key Requirements: Minimum Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Office Administration, Business Management, or related field. Preferred: Background or exposure to the Food Science / Beverage / Distillery / Manufacturing industry. Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in an administrative or office management role. Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). Understanding of accounting basics and familiarity with ERP or accounting software Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask and work effectively in a production-driven environment. Familiarity with food safety standards , compliance procedures, and production documentation is advantageous. Competencies: High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent time management and prioritization. Adaptability in a fast-paced, changing production environment. Professional communication and discretion in handling sensitive information. Remuneration Package: 25K
