Roodepoort: Junior Systems Engineer – Contract

We are seeking a motivated Junior Systems Engineer with 3 years of hands-on experience in Tier 2 support. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment supporting enterprise infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: Provide Tier 2 support for system-related issues across the organization. Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 environments (M365 non-negotiable). Support and administer Windows Server environments. Assist with Dell storage systems and backup solutions. Monitor and maintain virtual infrastructure using VMware. Support Cisco UCS systems and assist with routing and switching. Collaborate with senior engineers on infrastructure projects and upgrades. Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps. Required Skills & Experience: 2-3 years of experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure support. Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration. Experience with Dell storage and backup technologies. Solid understanding of Windows Server environments. Hands-on experience with VMware virtualization. Exposure to Cisco UCS and networking. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
