We’re looking for an Intermediate Java Developer who thrives on solving tough problems and building enterprise-grade solutions that make a real impact.

What you’ll be doing:

• Working on complex, high-impact projects across industries such as finance, telecoms, and more.
• Building robust, scalable systems using Java SE/EE and Spring Boot.
• Designing and consuming RESTful APIs and working with relational databases and ORM tools like Hibernate.
• Collaborating with senior developers and architects to deliver clean, maintainable, and high-quality code.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum requirements:

• 3-5 years’ solid Java development experience
• Strong in Java SE/EE, Spring / Spring Boot
• Experience with RESTful APIs, SQL, and ORM tools (Hibernate, JPA)
• Good grasp of version control (Git)
• Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
• Solid OOP knowledge and familiarity with design patterns

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS / Azure)
• Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes
• Frontend skills (Angular, React, or similar)
• Relevant degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related

This is a contract hybrid role based in Cape Town, offering R500 per hour (negotiable depending on experience).
