Job Specification: Business Analyst (Credit Applications & Lending Experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in credit applications and lending to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document requirements for credit applications and lending processes.
• Analyze and interpret data using advanced reporting tools to provide actionable insights.
• Develop functional and technical specifications for system enhancements.
• Work with development teams to ensure seamless integration and implementation of solutions.
• Facilitate workshops to gather, validate, and prioritize requirements.
• Identify areas for process improvement within credit and lending workflows.
• Provide ongoing support for implemented solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Key Technical Skills:

• SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services): Proficient in designing and maintaining reports.
• XML Reporting: Strong understanding and experience in working with XML-based reports.
• MQ and ESB: Experience with message queuing systems and enterprise service buses.
• Oracle Databases/Triggers: Ability to analyze and optimize Oracle database structures and triggers.
• SQL: Expertise in interpreting and building SQL scripts for data analysis and reporting.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within credit applications and lending domains.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to bridge the gap between business and IT.
• Solid understanding of financial regulations and credit risk management.
• Experience working with large datasets and reporting tools.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies is advantageous.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) are a plus.

Role Details:

• Contract Duration: Initially a contract position with the potential to convert to permanent based on performance.
• Location: On-site in Sandton with flexible working hours.
